Privacy policy
In short: no cookies, no tracking, no analytics. External content such as Google Calendar or easyVerein only loads once you allow it with a click.
Draft outline. This text is only a structure for the new website and is not legal advice. Before launch it must be adapted to the services actually used and legally reviewed. Everything marked TBD is still open. The German version will be the authoritative one.
1. Controller

2. Overview: no cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. No other information is stored on your device either (no local storage). TBD: verify technically and finalise wording
3. Hosting and server logs
This is a static website, hosted by a provider with servers in the EU. TBD: provider, address, data processing agreement
When you visit the website, the server processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in server log files in order to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). TBD: log retention period
4. Contact form and email
If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, message) to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns membership or festival participation, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
The data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. TBD: form service / email provider (currently Gmail / Google) and any third-country transfer
5. Google Calendar (2-click solution)
On the calendar page you can display a Google Calendar. It only loads after you click “Load calendar”. Before that, no data is sent to Google. After the click, data such as your IP address is transmitted to Google, and Google may set cookies.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Transfer to the USA is possible. Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Your consent applies only to the current page view: if you reload the page, the calendar is no longer shown automatically. Cookies already set by Google are governed by your browser settings. TBD: check third-country transfer details (EU-US Data Privacy Framework)
Alternatively, you can open the calendar directly at Google via a link, or subscribe to it as an ICS feed.
6. Membership and login via easyVerein
For membership applications and the members' area we use the association software easyVerein. The application form is only embedded after your click, or opened via an external link. The data you enter is processed by easyVerein on our behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR).
Purpose: managing memberships. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (membership relationship). TBD: provider address, data processing agreement, retention after leaving
7. Festival registration
Registration for our festivals (Blue Forest, Lindy Quiche) takes place via an external registration platform, which processes the data needed for registration and payment. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. TBD: confirm platform (e.g. dancecamps.org), provider, processing agreement

8. Links to social networks, YouTube and maps
We do not embed social media plugins, YouTube videos or maps. There are only plain links. Data is transferred to the respective provider only when you follow a link, and their privacy policy then applies:
- Facebook and Instagram: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland
- YouTube: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland
- Maps: links to OpenStreetMap or Google Maps
9. Fonts
Fonts are loaded from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font provider.
10. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
