Terms & conditions (festivals)

Draft. Based on the most recent Blue Forest terms (December 2024). The old Black Forest Hop terms from 2020 have been dropped. The wording needs confirmation by the board (and ideally a legal check) before it is used for registrations. Items marked TBD are open.

1. Organiser and scope

The festivals are organised by Black Forest Hop e.V., Freiburg im Breisgau (see legal notice). These terms apply to all registrations for our festivals. By registering, you accept these terms.

2. Registration

You register online via our registration platform. Your registration becomes binding once we have confirmed it by email. TBD: confirm platform (dancecamps.org?) and link

3. Payment

Payment is due within 14 days of your registration confirmation. The bank details are sent with the confirmation email. TBD: what happens if payment is late (e.g. the place is released)

4. Cancellation by you and pass transfers

Registrations are binding and cannot be refunded. However, you can transfer your pass to another person who dances the same role (lead or follow). Please let us know the new participant's details so that we can update the registration.

5. Cancellation by the organiser

If we have to cancel the festival, you will receive a full refund of the amount you have paid.

6. Lost property

Items left behind at festival venues are kept for one month. After that, unclaimed items are donated.

7. Photos and videos

Photos and videos are taken at our festivals and may be used to report on and promote the festival, for example on our website and social media. By taking part, you acknowledge this. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please tell the team when you arrive. Details on data processing are in our privacy policy. TBD: final wording and legal basis

8. Code of conduct

We want everyone to feel safe and welcome. Please follow our code of conduct at all festival events.
