The 2025 levels

LEVEL 1

Discover Your Mojo

You've heard about blues and want to discover how it is danced.

  • No blues experience, or a few months of tasters or classes
  • Some experience in other partner dances is welcome
LEVEL 2

Hoochie Coochie

You take regular classes or workshops and go to socials often.

  • 1–3 years of weekly classes or workshops
  • You switch between close embrace, open, closed and side-by-side
  • You want to develop your skills and build confidence
LEVEL 3

Voodoo

You've danced blues regularly for many years and been to many festivals.

  • A wide range of moves and solid partnering technique
  • Confident with styles like Latin blues, Texas Shuffle, Chicago triple
  • You might teach locally
